Reconstructive Surgery Tanzania (RecoTz) is a Non-governmental organization focused on creating awareness and providing care for all people with functional disabilities that can be corrected by reconstructive surgery. It involves children with congenital malformation (cleft, hand, and other body deformities), post-burn disabilities, and other traumatic deformities. People suffering from cancer who need reconstruction after tumor removal and those suffering from functional disabilities caused by infectious or any kind of diseases.
Creating awareness of breast reconstruction services and their benefits in improving the quality of life after curing breast cancer. Care for women with breast cancer during the whole surgical treatment period which involves early diagnosis of the disease to surgical reconstruction of the breast.

Care for women with symptomatic large breasts that limit their daily physical activities and cause a psychological disturbance.

message from THE PRESIDENT
It is my honor and proud privilege to serve this organization. RecoTz is expected to grow in a short span of a few years into a dynamic, progressive, and vibrant organization in Reconstructive surgery Care. Awareness about physical and psychological issues that impair functionality, aesthetics, and quality of life is yet limited in our growing communities. From the good old days when only general Surgeons were involved in reconstructive surgery with limited options to the present day where super-specialized surgeons who offer comprehensive reconstructive services, we have come a long way.
Our organization intends to help create a community aware of its health problems and provide treatment support to those indeed to reduce suffering and improve quality of life.
Our Objectives include

Creating awareness about health problems that may need reconstructive surgery as a result of congenital defects, trauma, infection, and benign and malignant tumors.

Educating Breast Cancer Survivors on their Breast Reconstruction Options.

Fundraising and providing financial support for reconstructive surgery to those unable to cover treatment costs.

Special emphasis will be placed on organizing training programs.
